Opening in cinemas across the United Kingdom on October 5, 2007 is Hatchet - a savvy, fun, blood-soaked horror featuring an impressive supporting cast of the some of the genre’s best known actors.

Written and directed by Adam Green, Hatchet is a must-see for fans of the classic slasher films of the 80’s. Since its premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival it has played at a number of international festivals, including the London FrightFest Film Festival, and the Austin Fantastic Film Festival, where it was awarded both the Audience and Jury prizes for Best Actor and Best Special Effects, and the Audience Award for Best Picture.

It’s not a remake, it’s not a sequel and it’s not based on a Japanese one. Hatchet is pure old school American horror.

Hatchet is released in the United Kingdom by The Works UK Distribution Ltd and opens in cinemas across the UK on October 5, 2007. Certificate tbc.
